„Wo sie also gesehen werden wollen, die Russen, als mächtige Bären, könnte man argumentieren, dass sie sich mit der schrägen Geschwindigkeit einer Gartenschnecke durch die Ukraine bewegen“, sagte NATO-Generalsekretär.

At the Munich Security Conference, Mark Rutte declared a major „shift in mindset“ within NATO, saying Europe is finally stepping up its defense spending and leadership. He also warned of the danger of falling for Russian propaganda, as Moscow’s statements of victories in Ukraine, in fact, have nothing to do with the reality of the situation.

A vodka fueled drunken snail, occasionally stopping to drink from a muddy puddle!

If it were at a snail’s pace, the Russians would have been in Berlin long ago.

      It’s slower, much slower.

This thinking is counter-productive. Oh we don’t really need to do anything because the losses are huge and the gains are small.

No, just fucking end this already. It’s been 4 fucking years. Start being a subject, not an object. Start treating this in a way that would end it.

One more attack on energy infrastructure and we are closing the sky. One more attack on residential buildings and we’re sending Taurus. One more attack on civilian train we’re sending the JEF to the Belarusian borders.

    5. I get his point, but also let’s not forgot why the pace is so slow. It’s slow because of the lives of Ukrainians who fight and die for their country.

Russia may be losing 30k+ troops per month but Ukraine is also losing thousands of lives, homes, livelihoods and amenities.

This isn’t a war where Russia will storm the capital and take over, it will end either when Russia quits or there are no Ukrainians left to fight.

It’s all well and good to point at Russia and laugh at how little land they have gained in 4 years, but the cost to Ukraine has been enormous.

    6. Let’s not fall into the trap of complacency. The allies were moving through Italy at a slower pace than that of a snail too.
