Die Einnahme von SSRI-Antidepressiva während der Schwangerschaft ist mit einem erhöhten Risiko für Schwangerschaftsdiabetes und frühen Anpassungsproblemen bei Neugeborenen verbunden. Die Studie ergab jedoch auch, dass die Einnahme von SSRIs während der Schwangerschaft das Risiko einer Frühgeburt und eines niedrigen Geburtsgewichts verringern kann.

    You know, and the risks associated with depression, anxiety, and post/peripartum psychosis… Which is what a lot of people are being treated for during pregnancy with SSRIs…

    Did they account for the effects of gestational diabetes on birth weight?

    I think it’s up to physicians to discuss continuation and possible risks thereof with the pregnant person. In many cases the adverse effects of stopping SSRI’s may very much outweigh the observation period to make sure there is no gestational diabetes. And let’s not forget that stopping SSRI’s can increase the risk of postpartum depression and anxiety
