Nach dem jugoslawischen Bürgerkrieg nutzten Serben und Kroaten die Gelegenheit, die sich durch den Aufstieg gemäßigter Politiker bot, und entschuldigten sich gegenseitig, und es wurde vorhergesagt, dass sich die Beziehungen dauerhaft verbessern würden. Allerdings kehrten die Nationalisten an die Macht zurück und die Beziehungen wurden erneut angespannt, obwohl sie zumindest viel besser sind als in der Zeit, als es keine gegenseitigen Entschuldigungen gab. Nun bestreitet niemand die groß angelegten Massaker. Glauben Sie, dass griechische Zyprioten und türkische Zyprioten sich gegenseitig entschuldigen können? Unterstützen Sie das oder leugnen Sie die Massaker? 🙁

Apology can only be achieved through acts of restitution/reparation to the greatest extent possible.
When we see both sides doing this mutually, then yes.
I don’t think anyone denies that the massacres took place.
However, there are still rights pending, which we have been discussing for 50 years, how they will be restored and how the parasite called Turkey will leave our country.
Cypriots are the kind of people who fight with their siblings over a land in their shitty village and don’t speak to each other for 20 years.
And you expect them to say sorry in society level?
Sooner or later, we will. Past grievances are being carried by older people. Younger generations will undoubtly get closer. Sooner or later we will forgive each others and us Cypriots will unite.
