Maybe she should run for president when this is all said and done.

Never heard of her until about a year ago, but she seems like good people.

  3. The more they come for her the more she stands up and teaches us all how to talk.

No offence to Ms Rachel for her impressive work, but remember when media outlets like the NY Times and Washington Post routinely broke these types of stories?

You know 2026 fully arrived when a toddler YouTuber is giving political commentary that lands harder than half the GOP press releases I’ve read this year.

We’re going to be hearing about the horrors happening in these mass detention centers for years to come.

Glad she’s standing up for what is right. You know the MAGA fanatics are probably spamming her with threats nonstop

  8. > This week, U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) defended the conditions of the Dilley detention center, referring to it as „nicer than some elementary schools.“

ok but that’s worse. you see how that’s worse, right?

  9. You know you’re on the wrong side when freaking Ms. Rachel is speaking out against you.

Isn’t this the lady who is guilty of the high crime of :checks notes: acknowledging Palestinian children as human?

Earlier in my career I was a professional storyteller at the second-largest library system in my state (and, I believe, the third or so largest in the region), and let me tell you, Ms. Rachel is inevitably going to impact our national literacy rates for the better. This woman is like crack for babies and toddlers.

Honest-to-goodness, she’s a national hero. We just haven’t seen the results yet.

The only reason anyone should dislike Ms Rachel is because you’ve heard „Icky Sticky Bubblegum“ 4 million times. But even then, you gotta admit that she helps children (and busy parents) so much. Hating her because she only wants children to live and be happy? That makes you the evil one.

My kids are older than Ms. Rachel type content age, but I’ll sub anyway because she’s awesome and I super appreciate her speaking out for kids here and in Palestine.

Remember when they called her antisemitic for not wanting to bomb kids

I hate having to hear her shows when I’m around friends with kids but God damn will I not say she is amazing in everything I have read so far. Good for her.

This woman is a better person than we deserve. I’m glad that she doesn’t look the other way when there’s kids involved. Good for her.

  17. Who wants to bet on how many of these kids are going to “vanish”? Fuck this shit is bleak.

  18. Every school-age kid in that detention center had a teacher. They had classmates. They were learning.

Inside the detention center, they are not learning anything except how cruel we are.

This is an issue close to my heart, as I am a teacher. The pain of having a student in a bad position (whether detained, or abused, or the victim of a crime, etc;) is heartbreaking. All these kids are known and loved.

We need to do better by them.
