I think taxi drivers should do at least a couple of weeks training before getting a SPSV licence. The entry test and “disability awareness” is all very quick and slapdash. There should be a mandatory couple of weeks at a training centre imo. It’s a very responsible job and there’s basically no preparation for it.

Fair play to that fucking hero from Irish Rail. If he hadn’t been there, this would have just been one severely shitty night for this couple and the two drivers would have gotten away with it scott free
