Der Markt des Landes für japanische Anime- und Spielekultur, bekannt als "erciyuan" Laut iiMedia Research hat sich der Umsatz auf Chinesisch, was zweidimensional bedeutet, innerhalb von fünf Jahren auf 597,7 Milliarden Yuan (etwa 86 Milliarden US-Dollar) im Jahr 2024 fast verdoppelt. Es wird erwartet, dass die Zahl im Jahr 2029 weiter auf 834,4 Milliarden Yuan ansteigt.

    Seems like most people in China and in Japan actually don’t care too much about the political situation.

  2. Seems to me that this would be next on the chopping block, if they can find a way to ban it.

    For comparison, that $86B (in presumably USD) absolutely dwarfs the amount Chinese tourists spent in Japan in 2025 (about $12.6B).

    Chinese 二次元 as quoted here has developed its own life in China. It’s presumptuous to assume it’s all „Japanese“.

    It’s as if saying Japanese are still using Kanji, therefore China must be very popular in Japan.

    More critically, the people don’t feel that supporting anime is supporting Japan. Anime related games and businesses will continue to grow regardless of the political situation.
