Are they of the illusion that this party is somehow moderate without Pierre? Cause they’re in for a rude awakening when the next leadership race is between Jamil Jivani, Aaron Gunn and Leslyin Lewis.
They don’t have anyone to replace him with. Their party is terrible. The only shred of a serious base they have is alberta and a few loonies scattered across the country, the rest of their support is just people who are sick of the LPC who are also terrible. The whole thing is kind of a house of cards.
But yeah the CPC is kind of a mess right now. They have some solid MPs but it’s the weirdos who get all their press. So I don’t know if they will be forming government any time soon unless enough left support abandons the LPC once the NDP has a leader
