Many canadians, dressed in jean jackets, calm/comb their mullets before boarding flights home from Cuba. The smell of poutine waves across the runway. Loony air has landed and has begun checking hockey sticks and flannels.
Things are looking bright for those flying home today. Not so much for the Cuban people left behind. There is no end in sight to the fidel failed collapsed socialist government of Cuba.
Guys, I love Canadians. They produce incredible people. This is a bit of comedy. One of Canada’s best exports!

This is weird, I have always been sus about things. But why is canada a country on america’s border so intertwined with cuba, a country that is against western interests. so much so that they have to issue a news article about the amount of canadians?
Have the canadians really been working against western interests this whole time? there is no way the moron trump was right about this.

America’s decades-long boycott kept Cuba poor.
Obama started reversing it, but trump is ‚imfluenced‘ by the people who want to reacquire the country again.

I’m surprised it’s that popular of a destination for Canadians.

Dumb ass American here. If I can ask my friendly Canadians, or anyone that’s been, what’s a vacation in Cuba look like? Is it very similar to most Caribbean islands where you just basically stay at a resort with everything there? Or is it cool to roam Havana or other places and experience culture? I know the country has suffered, but as an American that depends on personal experience rather than the bullshit media at my fingertips to parse the truth, how fares it?

Why would you go to Cuba on this side of like 1959 or whenever the Castro’s took over.

Who’s paying for these flights?
