I mean that was quite obvious to everyone, that he was not mentally well even back then.

Everyone Besides a third to a half of Americans apparently.

  2. giantroboticcat on

Everyone was saying this in 2015 when he was running for President. His friends making jokes and talking about it in 2017 is not news.

  3. ResidentKelpien on

Millions of Americans with relatives mired in dementia could see Trump’s decline before then.

Excuse me? I think most of us knew he’d been losing his marbles well before 2017.

  5. HBRWHammer5 on

He hasn’t formed a complete sentence since before his first campaign. Anyone who listened to him knew he was a rambling mess.

This was obvious as soon as they started talking about Biden’s health. Every accusation is a confession.

  7. “Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart —you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune —you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right — who would have thought?), but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

Anyone with working ears and a functioning brain saw this before 2017.

Everyone who had a parent or grandparent with dementia, „No shit“.

  9. The medical professionals who are publicly commenting on his public behavior are saying he’s late stage sundown dementia for a reason. This report should be no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention.

There is a very high chance that he won’t survive his disease until the end of this year, let alone the end of his term.

When Trump is asked to testify his response will be he has had dementia for years.

  11. I have a new crackpot theory. Trump’s staff know his brain is pudding. They’ll use him to sign anything they put in front of him until they can’t hide his dementia anymore. Then when the Epstein dam finally breaks, they can point to his pudding-brain and he can claim to not remember anything. All the evidence will have trickled out and nobody will be surprised.

I couldn’t watch any speeches or news conferences but id read the transcripts. Reading the transcripts back in 2016 made it pretty clear things weren’t right. They all read like someone with a head injury.

On the one hand, he has _never_ been mentally healthy. He has a laundry list of textbook DSM mental health and personality disorders. Sociopathy, grandiosity, narcissism.

_On top of which / in addition to_ he has very clearly accelerating cognitive decline. He’s been a rambling, incoherent mess for over a decade, and just continuously getting worse.  Most media excerpts have to be extremely aggressively edited to appear at all coherent. That’s at least one of the hydra’s heads of the sanewashing campaign.

„We“ nothing. I’ve known this for at least a decade. Dude’s dumber than his followers somehow.

  15. The fact he was still smart enough to convince and trick his base is probably a damning thing for his base

  16. ObviouslyRealPerson on

Putting dementia in quotations and not „friends“ is the real travesty here

  17. They’re letting this slip out so they have an exit ramp, once they’re finished with him.

  18. funkydrewfizzle on

If only there was a constitutional admendment we had that would allow us to peacefully remove a sitting president who lacks the cognitive functions to lead…..if only congress had a mechanism that could use if only …….

for the autistic people who lack a sense of sarcasm this is written sarcastically

  19. As a health professional, I see this as a good thing. Means he doesn’t have much time left. Typically people with dementia survive 8-10 years. People can survive longer but I mean look at him. He’s falling apart.

  20. I find it morbidly hilarious that conservatives normalized and just accepted Donald’s dementia as a new form of speaking, called „the weave“.

  21. Cutie3pnt14159 on

He’s been in diapers for decades… They would have to stop filming his show to get him cleaned up and change his diaper.

  22. Lamb_or_Beast on

“We” though….yeah idk who “We” is but I think he’s been god damned loony for *years*

  23. browhodouknowhere on

This is worse than Reagan because they know about the dementia, but actively enrich themselves using h as a muppet. The word for it is insidious.
