Some variety would help. How about some Atheists. Get that religious sewage out of the way.

  2. And none of this “We’re not going to prosecute because the country needs to heal” bullshit. I wanna see nazi’s held accountable so this shit never happens again. We can heal with Bondi, Hegseth, Miller and the rest of them in prison

  3. Long-Tradition6399 on

Term limits for Justices please …. there should be NO lifetime positions in any elected capacity, ANYONE in government needs to be removable/replaceable in cases of corruption, or incompetence.

  4. Netizen_Gypsy on

If we “stack” the court it’s not going to solve anything. It’ll just lead to the other side stacking the court more when they have control.

And… what happens when States simply start ignoring the court rulings? Then what?

  5. panopticon31 on

I’ve always thought the supreme court should have one justice for each circuit. And that each justice must be selected from a judge within that circuit.

Idk if it’s perfect but it certainly would be better than what we have now.

And add term limits to justices.

    And refuse corporate donations.

And hold corporations accountable. And tax the shit out of them.

And refuse to sponsor countries that invade sovereign nations.

And work to close loopholes that corporations and the wealthy exploit to steal from us.

And prosecute those who have auctioned off the nation to stay in power. (aka avoid prison)

And force the Department of Justice to close the concentration camps and prosecute the people sponsoring them.

And actually come up with a viable immigration overhaul plan that doesn’t take years upon years to complete the process.

    And retroactively prosecute corrupt officials.

    And eliminate the Electoral College.

And eliminate the majority/minority system in congress. If one side has the majority, the other side can’t do shit anyways. It really opens the door for more political backstabbing and fuckery. It’s an illusion of choice, a false sense of security, and honestly a slap in the face to the people.

…I could do this shit all day; so many things need fixing and updating.

Most Republicans need to be investigated and probably some Democrats.

Jail all those who are corrupt.

  8. free_da_guys1107 on

Dems said the same shit in 2020. Biden did none of what he promised. All lies and corrupt

  9. TheWildmanWillie96 on

Democrats: the party of boy cried wolf. Last 60 years has been just this “save democracy” and by that they mean they will help get the population further from what they actually need. All while saying “oops we tried” and then conceded to whatever the republicans want

Impeach justices that are compromised and taking bribes. Should eliminate most Republicans.

  11. SuperstitiousPigeon5 on

Adding more justices without a Dem President would just be stacking the deck further.

Adding justices to the court is pretty unpopular. Step one to Democrats ending Republican rule is getting elected, so they should run in popular things.

The goal should be to win Congress, then spend two years investigating Republicans for their crimes, exposing them to the public, and building a case for their prosecution in the next Democratic administration in 2028. Done well simply exposing their behavior to the pubic while not being weirdos will set them up for a landslide in 2028.

Impeachment may make sense, but they will never secure a conviction in the Senate even if Democrats control it, so they need to be careful with this because it could backfire. It will be seen as symbolic at best, and a distraction from getting things done at worst.

I don’t know if it’s possible but I’d much rather have the justices impeached and replaced rather than just adding more.

  14. They can impeach and remove Supreme Court justices as easily as the President, can they not?

  15. QciferKharn on

I know we rain on it a lot, but a lot of this really show how bad our two party system is… it really rewards those who seek to exploit it. I really really want to build on something more than just taking advantage of each other

  16. More justices isn’t the solution it’s term limits and transparency on how these people who decide the fate of millions if not billions of people, make their income. If they have no accountability they are free to do what they are doing which is gleefully taking bribes to benefit the few over the masses. To disregard precedent and the constitution for money and influence.

More justices is just more people to bribe or coherence into corruption without consequences. And the people with all the money? What they spend isn’t even a rounding error, it’s like if the majority of the people on earth dropped a .25 cent piece. It’s nothing to what they gain in return which is taken directly from our pockets, since protections for citizens is the first to go.

Stacking the courts has never been a great idea. Stacking them during Trump presidency… Going to have an opposite effect than what OP hopes for.

Impeach Trump? There is 100% no chance to flip enough seats this midterm for Congress to remove trump. Just not in the math.

  18. New-Equal8039 on

Unless you have a majority in the senate, I wouldn’t bother with impeachment.

Democratise the workplace, have labour laws, give time for people to actually participate in community, family, and democracy… But nope, gridnstyle for profit economic market as a governance model run by the elite is what america gets…

This right here! I keep seeing posts saying what about this person or that person. I want the person who is going to go scorched earth on these criminals. Trust in our legal system needs to be restored. Then add more justices and term limits.

  21. And don’t make the mistake of giving the progressive left all the power which is what got us into this mess to began with.

  22. krichard-21 on

How do we prevent Congress from confirming unqualified candidates?

All I can think of is term limits.

  23. angrygnome18d on

And how about term limits? We’ve seen some of these people get so old they become liabilities. Retire with grace or get forced out. We do not want 75/80 year olds up there. Go spend some time with family and stop being a power hungry megalomaniac.

  24. Just empeach the two rapists and the corrupted one on scotus. Then set term limits.

  25. DingoReady2452 on

Ahh yes, cause Congress isn’t just as responsible if not more for where we are today.

  26. A more realistic approach to fixing the Supreme Court would be forcefully removing Trump-appointed justices. Trump is a traitor and every decision he made in both terms should be considered to be in the interests of our enemies.

  27. AskMeAboutFusion on

The year is 2068. 79 year old President Ocasio-Cortez signs the Healthcare nuclear option.

Universal Healthcare is enacted via all 238 million US citizens now being justices on the supreme court.

  28. There’s 13 circuits

Why not at least 13 justices or a system that rotates federal judges in and out?

  29. >After the midterms, the most important goals will be to restore federal **loyalty to the Constitution** and Congress’s power to remove Trump and his people from government. **Voters must elect Democrats, Republicans and independents who are utterly committed to those goals. They will have to flip at least three House seats and 20 Senate seats, a very tall order.** But if they succeed, constitutionalists will win control of the House and a supermajority in the Senate.

    >**In January, the new House would impeach Trump and Vice President Vance, and the Senate would convict them.** The new Speaker of the House would then resign from Congress, assume the presidency, replace Trump’s Cabinet and appointees, and remain in office until the 2028 election.

    >**In January, the new House would impeach Trump and Vice President Vance, and the Senate would convict them.**

The new and revived American Dream.
