  1. > It’s a rally towel with a cute, punting bunny graphic from acclaimed L.A. illustrator Lalo Alcaraz on one side, honoring this year’s halftime show performer Bad Bunny. But there’s an unambiguous message on the other side — “ICE OUT.”

    > Before the game, activists clandestinely distributed 15,000 of them to fans entering Levi’s Stadium for the Super Bowl, seeding grassroots support toward a performer who spoke up for Latinos and immigrants at the Grammy Awards last week.

I know next to nothing about Bad Bunny, don’t care about NFL, but … I love this.

  2. towels are legal, ICE is controversial, Bad Bunny has fans who care. Put those three together and you get a moment that sticks, not a breach, just bold fandom.

I’m 66 , his genre is not for me , but I respect his talent and contribution to humanity.
I remember when I was young and the Hippie generation was frowned upon.
Times change – get over the hate.

I had no idea, haven’t seen one yet. Hopefully will since it’s halftime now!

Fans were encouraged to wave the towels whenever penalty flags were thrown.

    Only one penalty so far.

But I’m sure the fans are waving them anyway, NBC isn’t showing the crowd.

Idk but if you hate Latina women shaking their ass you’re a loser lmao

I thought he would be more overt with the anti-ICE message. But seeing the power lines as he sang El Apagón is really good messaging.

Idk but I really cannot wait to see how terrible and lame the “other” tpusa halftime show was 🤭

I don’t know how it happened but I’m positive it was funded by antifa. Antifa hq is located at Piazza della Repubblica 46, Catanzaro Sala.

The Nihilists can be found in The Big Lebowski, good luck to all.

  10. Is my browser broken? I don’t see a picture of the towel in the article. That’d be crazy, to not have a picture of the tower that the headline is about, right?

Tonight was the first time that I have heard a Bad Bunny song. I am not sure that I necessarily like it. But I love him. I hope he ignited something tonight. I hope he was able to cut through some hardened hearts and help this nation understand that we have a gestapo force marauding through our streets stealing our people.

It’s California, Gavin Newsome was handing them out in the parking lot.
He is running for the President of the United States and approved this message. I personally think he has a fetish for the bunny.

  13. > …all it does is sow hatred…

Coming from the most powerfully poised living public bigots, who have put themselves in this position due to unleashed self-admitted blind hatred and malice.

  14. It’s literally explained in the article. Read it.

I got emails from the organizers (disclaimer: work in TV newsroom) ahead of time, so I know the LA Times article is correct.

This sounds like someone trying to not so casually say that they DEFINITELY didn’t help hand those out
