I’m glad the Lululemon logo is right there so everyone can see who is responsible for that atrocity. Go back to Roots

I like it, it’s supposed to be daring and different. It’s a statement piece for the opening ceremony, not a daily driver. IMO it’s more fun than a regular coat like most other countries. We’re talking about it so I think lulu achieved their goal.

    3. I can see wanting to do something a little different since it’s very easy to default to „red ski jacket“ like lots of other countries had.

It’s supposed to make a statement, it’s not streetwear. In that context I like it!!

Should have just got the heated rivalry prop department to design it, would have been better

    6. Meh I loved just about all of the pieces. It’s meant to be bold. I couldn’t pull off everything but there is stuff I want still.

    7. Did people not see what every other country was wearing? I’m think huge, oversized parkas were the theme because that’s what the other countries were wearing too…

    8. Guys, don’t you think the intention was to be fashion like on a fashion show? It’s Milan.

It hurt to breathe today in southern Ontario. I’ll take one of those sleeping bag shawl jackets.

    10. I was also in the „What is this“ crowd when I saw this. But I really did not care much 5 minutes in. It’s not the best, but it could also have been much worse.

It looks like something a spectator at a winter sport would wear to keep warm over their jacket as they sit in the bleachers. It’s a wide quilted scarf with arm holes.

      It’s a Thneed.

Our Olympic team are an advertisement for a garment from a Dr. Seuss book.

I suppose it could be worse….

    13. Not a fan, but really appreciate someone trying to do something different. Could use a little more white given we are a north county with the Winter Olympics and all.

What’s up with the black maple leaf on hats? Looks like an Albanian flag. There are so many beautiful colors that can signify Canada, even a red logo on a red hat would work, so why black?

I have no issue with the opening ceremony attire. It’s never really been meant for everyday wear and more of a statement.

Unless I somehow missed it, but the fact I can’t just get an official hoodie that simply says Canada across the chest like the HBC days bums me out.

    16. Next time is should be Superstore to design the outfits. They can be no name and be yellow and just say “Olympic outfit”

    17. What’s the green? Why green? Since when did Canada have green as a colour? The 2010 CAN Hoodie was peak. Bring that back. No changes. If Lulu can’t resist a Lululogo then make is subtle on the back or a sleeve. Zipper ties. Cool. Fine.

      Just no. They’re awful.

The best outfits were the ones from 1994 when Kurt Browning carried the flag.

The Mountie look.  Perfect shade of red, perfect fit. Sleek and elegant, those outfits really stood out.

These outfits just look ridiculous and they’re not even a good shade of red.

Sometimes you can try to be cutting edge and just end up looking like a clown.  This is one of those times.

For some reason, when I saw the outfits, I thought of fat beavers…I laughed out loud at the ridiculous attire, and genuinely felt a little sad for our athletes.
