Their performance was VERY tame. Their seriously controversial lyrics were not included in the show. The F bomb was bleeped. They sounded great

You mean lyrics to their songs?

For a punk band, i expected much more. I get the symbolism alone of choosing Holiday and American Idiot, but they weren’t allowed to sing the most impactful lyrics, even without the more modern substitutions.

I imagine they were threatened with a biblical lawsuit if they dared say anything, especially since they had a slew of former NFL MVPs on stage towards the end.
