I feel like this hasn’t sunk in for many of not most Americans. Being American is more of a liability than a benefit as a business partner.

I think Western hardware companies focusing almost entirely on big tech/datacenters is going to severely backfire. It’s going to pay shitloads in the near term, but smaller players who need hardware are going to find alternate suppliers. That means Chinese manufacturers are suddenly going to have a lot of demand even though they lag on capability. But a few years down the road? Those consumers will be making Chinese manufacturers the preference, and when data center buildouts start to slow, companies like Nvidia/Intel/Micron/Samsung are going to find their previously lucrative consumer market has already moved on.

Nobody wants to pay spiked tariffs and pay premium for goods from the US. If there was another country that provided the same stuff, I bet all these countries would flip over because with Trump at the helm, nobody wants a piece of this pie
