Takachi probably will be even more aggressive on rhetorics towards China and Korea. The winning that shows Japanese approve of her hardline approach will embolden her even further
It’s all theater. The people really running the show on this planet are never voted in. Countries are just another word for human farms.
Meanwhile every day Japanese will suffer more while the capitalist bleed them further. Japan nominal wage haven’t gone up at all last 30 + years. Median wage was equivalent of $44k USD in 1995, US median income was $34k then by comparison.
Today the median Japanese household income is around $28k where in US it’s 63k
If you want to stay optimistic then very definitely don’t pay attention to tech trends. Reliance of generative AI and its effects on writing and analytical skills, and the shortened attention spans of the TikTok generation have become incredibly clear in both university entrance exams and job applications. People are getting dumbed down at a rate that is noticeable in annual comparisons. This isn’t just Japan and it won’t effect only politics but in that field it will make people far more prone to the appeals of emotional demagogues and media who favor attention, clicks, and ad revenue over truth.
