Technically lynxes, cougars and cheetah’s aren’t big cats, but actually-man was needed in a discussion about birds and dinosaurs, so we’ll let it stand.

(They’re from the „small cat“ group which is separate from the big cat group, but due to their size they can be described as large small cats or just large cats.)

It’s a rare sight these days, but Jaguars are native to the US as well, and they do still venture in from time to time
