      Remember that these people need to be treated the same way we handle de-programming of cult survivors… not saying we need to accept them back with open arms but we should consider how we treat them in that light…

      Yeah. Apology NOT accepted. You knew exactly what he was when you voted for him. Three times . You don’t get to feign outrage when the well known racist does racist things.

      I think it is safe to say that this guy was fine with the racism as long as it was in dog-whistle form and the background music had a catchy hook.

      But the background music playing now is depressing. People are out of work. Prices are sky high. People are losing their businesses, their health insurance, their families, their lives. The US is fomenting war on multiple fronts. We are a laughingstock globally.

      And then you wake up to hear about the president posting horribly racist memes about a former president and first lady, both who served admirably.

      I know we are a cynical bunch on this sub, but I think we need to be open-minded about the possibility that Trump has spent almost all of his political capital. I don’t think racist memes are enough to push his supporters over the edge, but it seems we are rapidly approaching the cliff.

      Do they? They don’t think people realize that these are the same people sending super racist email joke chains all day? We’re not stupid and this wasn’t a secret. Some are just embarrassed that Trump’s demented and airing the dirty truth that he’s not supposed to.
