Those two sound like really great people…

/s just in case someone doesn’t get it.

Anyway, they seem to deserve, although the nuthead Putin lover seems more of a harmless idiot. By that measure, half the AfD, half of Hungary and so on should be in the sanctions list as well.

This actually gives credence to the arguments buy Vance that Europe does not allow free speech. Based on what I can say statements by Jacques Baud he is being sanctioned for are legitimate, if marginal points of view. We can not stifle debate in this way if we seek to build a free and fair society. This is shameful. But yes, I am not on the pay roll of Russia. I have a degree in International Relations. In my view Ukraine was goaded to some extent by the US into discriminating against Ethnic Russians which definitely contributed to Putins illegal decision to invade. Is that already too controversial? Should I get sanctioned now? The fact I even think it necessary to write I am not on the payroll of Russia means that groupthink, propaganda and the stifling of legitimate debate are real already. Again – in my view.

Interesting how “Not with us!” replaces any explanation of what is actually being proposed.

      Fear slogan, zero policy.
