Fair play. I bet Canada could have chosen a walkover victory. On behalf of every gracious Finns, thank you.

I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to reschedule a game during the packed Olympic schedule.

This game should be declared a 1-0 forefeit if the Finnish team doesn’t have enough players ready and in uniform at the scheduled game time.

This should be a forfeit under the rules.
If a team can’t have a full roster, that’s their problem, not their opponent’s.
*edit: LOL at downvotes – you can tell people on this sub are clearly not normal regular sports viewers, and once again demonstrates they aren’t reflective of actual ordinary Mainstream Canadians. A forfeit is the rule on the books when a team cannot field a full roster in literally every sport.*

Oh that can’t be a fun experience in the Olympic village, I hope that doesn’t spread.

Given then “close contact” the Olympic village is notorious for, I’ve got a feeling this is going to spread throughout these games. Hopefully not though, but not a good start.

Sure hope more teams don’t get sick…

Ball.
Canada and Finland are the only two countries in the world where hockey is the most popular sport, it’s good they well get to face off healthy.

Huh, the winter Olympics start tomorrow.
It seems like I’ve heard almost zero news or chatter about the Olympics this year, is that just me?
