      Just tear the bandaid off already ffs.

      Don’t forget, thanks to tariffs we get a lot of empty warehouses to concentrate people. We do at least get the vacant property at a discount, right?……right?

      This article seems like it just is regurgitating other articles that have misinterpreted WARN notices. This seems to be the group impacted in Washington state as part of the Jan 28th layoff, not a new group.

      Not surprising. Amazon never made the majority of money from the human workers, it’s the automation. And sadly they’ve gotten extremely good at automation.

      It’s uncomfortable to work in tech right now while the industry is disfigured in real time. It makes me wonder how much worse it will get.

      It’s truly over man at least in 2008 there was a real belief that things would recover at some point, now it truly seems that tech and really white collar work in general is never coming back

      Does this explain why they sell me something for 45 dollars, have a „delay in shipping“, force me to cancel, and then when I go to reorder two days later the item is now 70?
