Live in the desert or live in a lush tropical island? Hmmm wonder which one will have more people?

I already consider it a miracle that Arabs are able to live in that desert

  3. This is why I hated the term ‚Muslim Ban‘ in Trump’s first term.  If it was indeed prejudice, it was a ‚brown ban‘, as the largest Muslim nation wasn’t included.

  4. Iraq isn’t a part of a peninsula though. I think the fertile crescent is north of the Arabian peninsula

  5. What kind of chaos are we looking at if Indonesia airlifts the Kaaba to Jakarta? Total annihilation or just Islamic world war (with India caught in the middle)?

  6. This is a big beef I have with certain folks of an anti-religious bent who go after Islam. They automatically assume that, e.g. Libyan or Iranian or Afghan islam is representative of all Islam and they therefore can be used interchangeably — if Iran and Afganistan etc. does bad thing, that means all Muslims do bad thing.

Meanwhile the overwhelming majority of world’s Muslims aren’t even in the Middle East at all.

So how does it make sense to take like not even 1/10th of the world’s muslims and use them as examples for all Muslims? It don’t.

It’s kind of frustrating that it seems that so many anti-religion folks can’t seem to separate the religion from the people.

Edit: To be fair, they do this about Christians and other religions too. I don’t endorse religion, I’m against it, but it seems like I’m the only one that can recognize that there exist people in these religions that aren’t book thumping genocidal zealots.

Weird how when people talk about „Muslim countries“ they never mean Indonesia.

The people who would be surprised or interested by this are not present.
