      Probably won’t happen as the gov needs a scarecrow and national wanker Bardela is not going to win a lot of votes… too much energy.

      Chirac and Sarkozy come to mind. 

      The French haven’t had much luck with their modern day presidents, they’d be avoiding another case of rotten apple if they ban Marine… 

      And don’t forget, „mangez des pommes“ otherwise you’ll be looking around at eachother saying „On m’aurait mentis?!?“ (Virenque)

      I think her party has some popularity while Le Pen herself is a bit controversial. It’d probably be to the benefit of the French Right to not have to have her in play anymore, and then they can run on the prosecution.

      They will condemn her, but without preventing her from running, hoping to secure leadership within the far right, which will once again leave the path clear for the center-right…

      More precisely: French prosecutors seek to confirm the ban of Marine Le Pen from office (and the other sentences), which was decided in a previous trial as a (quite lenient) application of the law (which was supported by her and her party).
