      ONLY 5 years for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child?? An insanely light sentence for causing a lifetime of trauma to a poor innocent kid.

      i don’t quite understand why sexual crimes in japan are treated so lightly. especially those of extremely violent nature.

      I don’t understand how he thinks arguing he didn’t know she was under 16 would help him. He kidnapped and assaulted her. What an absolute dirt bag. 

      Should have been longer.

      US politicians will support that military man, demand Japan apologize for punishing him, and pressure Japan to bring him back to the US just like they supported a military man, who caused a car accident and killed people, in 2024.

      Dang! He would have been imprisoned for a much longer time in the States. Japan had messed up priorities when it comes to breaking the law.
