      Just like with everything else with Trump they got scammed.

      The bonuses come after five years. There’s a very good chance they never see a dime. (And it would be fantastic if they never did)

      These goons were already tricked into indentured servitude. Their bosses sending them into unnecessary danger in hopes that something terrible happens to push their agenda further. That said, the 5 year signing bonuses only work if the goons actually receive them and spend them. Maybe dhs will refuse to pay them but still threaten to sue if they quit.

      It’s paid out over 3 years and you have to stay for at least 5 years. So basically, you can view it less as a sign-on bonus, and more like they just reduce your salary significantly after 3 years, but you are required to give them another two years. Furthermore, you can bet there are some clauses in there about furlough or layoffs. I wonder how agents will respond to getting fired in 4.5 years and owing $50k plus interest back to the government.

      Because according to the fine print the bonus comes after 3 years of service, conveniently lined up with the end of his term.

      usually sign on bonuses get paid out after your fulfill the contract. LOL. I am retired military and remember getting sign on and reenlistment bonuses. If i did not complete that enlistment I would have had to pay a prorated amount back. they must not have read their contracts.
