      Love it! The optic fibre should work a whole lot better on water given there are far fewer things to snag on, although sharp movement of the, whats it called? Sea Baby Lite? Could still break it I suppose. And I bet that canister has like 2, maybe 3 miles of fibre, and unlike the airborne drones, there is not so much of a weight penalty, ie that fibre is not replacing high explosive.

      At some point, it’s gotta be cheaper and faster to just plastic cast. I feel like this is probably about the size that makes it worth getting casting dies

      These posts dont get as much attention because russians aren’t disassembling in pieces, but this hints at recent developments by the russian mod countering seababy drones.

      I cant imagine the havoc These wires will play with boat propellers and marine life, like dolphins. But ukraines survival comes first…

      Everyone here acting concerned about the fiber, but actually the threedirectional movement and turning circle of USVs likely wont create similar webs to the ones of FPVs and one long strand of fiber seems far less harmful than the amount of ghost nets which fishing vessels leave at sea today and which are of greater density.

      Is there any information out there about how to control drones with fibre optics?

      I wanted to try making a drone to take photos of some of the wrecks near where I live.
