    1. [Donald Trump](https://inews.co.uk/topic/donald-trump?srsltid=AfmBOoqGlMMLRKd0yFfCNb813F5sMhSHKZx0fCGqHGOWeSfTt8vBufNd&ico=in-line_link) gets away with it. That has been true his entire life – whatever the crisis, or the scandal, Trump seems to come out ahead. His casino businesses went bankrupt, and Trump was fine. He was denounced by Republicans after the [6 January insurrection](https://inews.co.uk/topic/january-6-united-states-capitol-attack?srsltid=AfmBOop5vNwTZBwhBqjivSfY0RADikpgOOYzC5gbhrqGd7fhcex6uOsR&ico=in-line_link), and he bounced right back. He gets [convicted on 34 felony counts](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/donald-trump-trial-latest-verdict-reached-hush-money-case-3083901?srsltid=AfmBOopRSJnr4pHlCGsjWmCG4-SO0JlXATE9cD8HJkinbdtm65CxHs2R&ico=in-line_link) in a New York court, and he gets re-elected as US President.

Even Trump’s critics acknowledge this fact – he picked up the nickname [“Teflon Don”](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/epstein-files-trumps-kryptonite-history-teflon-don-survive-4038737?srsltid=AfmBOopiUVYMZV2nRjb7jf0_lAuDevS4l9uiTloKJVDi87yZP79ssjUk&ico=in-line_link) in his first term, and it has stuck around ever since. Trump had a 79-year-long run of good luck, and he doesn’t seem to expect his streak to break any time soon.

The US President [appears to be celebrating](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/trump-may-live-regret-victory-lap-latest-epstein-files-4207628?ico=in-line_link) after the latest release of documents from the Epstein files by the US Department of Justice (DoJ), which have raised major [questions for figures like Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor](https://inews.co.uk/news/most-astonishing-epstein-revelations-latest-file-release-4206782?ico=in-line_link) and [Peter Mandelson](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/jeffrey-epstein-sent-10000-peter-mandelsons-husband-files-reveal-4206151?ico=in-line_link), but nothing too difficult for Trump.

The US President seems so confident that the story is swinging his way that on Monday, he even threatened to sue the Grammys host Trevor Noah over a quip he made about Trump visiting [Epstein’s island](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/revealing-new-pictures-epsteins-island-tell-crimes-4085314?srsltid=AfmBOorjNpraAzHqYu9ke8-n4xljQ8E9KwOI06nILyJEuOfm3R-NGrXc&ico=in-line_link) at the ceremony.

It is characteristic of Trump to treat a scandal about the systemic rape, trafficking and abuse of women and girls over a period of years as just another political football – or a cudgel with which to beat his adversaries.

But it may also represent hubris by a US President who is increasingly detached from reality, planning monuments across Washington DC, putting his name on its buildings, and [trying to secure prestigious awards](https://inews.co.uk/opinion/trumps-letter-norway-lost-mind-nobel-peace-prize-4174123?srsltid=AfmBOorJNad_wtZtUZAWUffDMQCLTfFukH3WRuEMywKXNFXLBfhZhQl4&ico=in-line_link) in his own name. Trump may have forgotten some of the facts on the ground when it comes to the Epstein story.

It is true that focus in recent days has been on figures like Mandelson, Mountbatten-Windsor, and multiple figures from Hollywood – including [*Melania*](https://inews.co.uk/culture/film/melania-trump-reveals-nothing-gross-glitzy-ropaganda-4202678?ico=in-line_link) director Brett Ratner – and academia. But if anyone in Trumpworld were capable of thinking more than one step ahead, that might give them reason to pause.

Trump being tainted by suspicion of a coverup is like a sewer being tainted crap being dumped into it

    4. Better_Car_8141 on

Tainted isn’t enough. All those monsters should face trial and prison if convicted. Tainted isn’t justice.

    5. USSSLostTexter on

’suspicion‘ is doing ALOT of heavy lifting here. It’s just as clear that he is also a pedophile that deserves the same sentences Ghislaine received and Jeffrey was on his way to prior to Pedo Don the Con having him killed.

    6. Responsible-Win-4348 on

Besides his pants, that’ll be another stink he’ll never be able to shake.

    7. IntellectAndEnergy on

When your best friend runs the worlds largest child sex trafficking scheme, and there is abundant proof you were in some way involved, you are guilty.

At the very least, guilty of aiding and abetting, likely far worse. Anyone with working neurons knows it.

    8. Ok_Security_4714 on

He can lie all he wants. We all know what he is and he will answer for it all in the end

    9. Nah he won’t. It’ll leak eventually. The truth isn’t just held by the US gov’t. Russia has it, others have it too.

    10. Idrisdancer on

He doesn’t care. And those who want to suck up to him don’t care. It’s quite revolting

    11. I don’t care if he’s „tainted by suspicion,“ he needs to go to jail for both the cover-up and partaking of Epstein’s „beautiful secret.“

    12. Opinionsare on

Did the DOJ deliberately leave victim names and photos to create a legal reason to curtain the publication of the Epstein files?

    13. Mor_Padraig on

      He’s not finished being tainted.

HOW many ( millions of ) pages have yet to be released?

      That’s a lotta, lotta taint.

    14. DanfromCalgary on

You could literally be watching him have sex with a child and think … allegedly

    15. Fit-Neighborhood6804 on

He’s forever “tainted” for dozens, if not hundreds, of things. No one cares. No one holds him accountable. Democrats are craven cowards afraid to go face to face with him. We can rant and rave all day long about Drowsy Donnie’s actions, but in the end he gets away with whatever he wants to get away with.

    16. #SUSPICIONS?!

What are you, willfully ignorant or just a moron?

The Trump admin covering up crimes it commited is a fact.

They’ve done it multiple times now, BLATANTLY, and they continue to do it with the Epstein files.

    17. I think this news is like three months late? It isn’t suspicions anymore, the excess censorship of his name and context *is* a cover up. By definition. He promised to release the files, then the promise changed when he realized he had some stains to hide before hanging out the clothes for all to see. That is called a cover up.

    18. Flat-Emergency4891 on

It’s not suspicious at all. It’s Trump being Trump. Of course it’s a cover up.
