A week is a long time in politics, especially when you’re dealing with a President like Donald Trump. By that standard 3 years is practically a lifetime.
Natural events do happen.
We should assume that Trump hasn’t stopped anything and that he is about to create some kind of havoc as a distraction.

Can’t believe it has just been a week since that Greenland drama slowed down. This year politics seems to be on roller coaster even by Trump standards.

Probably the rest of the administration patiently told him that if he wanted to strike Iran, having access to the EU skies, bases and intel might be necessary, and the Greenland objectives would need to take a step back.
