Hallo norwegische Freunde,
Wir planen, Ihr schönes Land mit einem Dreijährigen, einem 15 Monate alten Kind und ihrem 71-jährigen Großvater zu besuchen. Wir würden die Aurora sehr gerne sehen.
Unser vager Plan besteht darin, im Oktober nach Oslo zu fliegen, Oslo ein wenig zu besichtigen, mit dem Zug nach Bergen zu fahren, einige Fjorde usw. zu sehen und dann nach Norden zu fliegen, vielleicht nach Tromsø, um (hoffentlich) die Aurora zu sehen. Wir überlegten, eine der Aurora-Touren zu machen (z. B. Lichterjagd, die mit der Eule usw.). Hat jemand Erfahrung mit Kindern in diesem Alter? Wenn ja, glauben Sie, dass sie es gut vertragen würden?
Hat jemand auch spezielle Empfehlungen für Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten in diesen Gegenden? Es kann Natur, Kultur, Restaurants usw. sein. Wir sind sehr offen für Vorschläge.

Addendum: we’re not sure if we’re going to rent a car, but for what it’s worth, we are from New York State, and we have plenty of experience driving on snow and ice.

I dont know if October is the best month for tourism in general, spring and fall are the quiet seasons here north, if you want to see the Aurora mid winter is a better bet, november-january is when we have polar nights so it gives you the best chance.
As for rental cars, it’s not guaranteed that you will be allowed to rent one, since the public here has started demanding tourists not be allowed to drive on our roads in winter, and a Chinese family killed two 70 year olds this week the debate has been opened about restricting tourists. If nothing happens, which is the most likely outcome because our governmental officials are spineless idiots, Please make sure you rent a car with 4×4 and studded tires
Someone more knowledgeable on this will probably give better advice, im just a fed up local who wants our roads to be safe during winter, since they are clogged with germans during summer

When traveling from Oslo to Bergen, do the Norway in a Nutshell tour instead of a straight run to Bergen.
Leave your kids and old people at home, they will NOT enjoy Aurora tour.
