I don’t want them involved. They will want subsidies to ensure they can maintain market values. If we’re just going to pay banks to make more money why can’t we just have the BoC of CMHC offer mortgages or build homes directly? It’s a rhetorical question but seriously we need to return to this.
Carney makes a big speech about the old order being over but his government cannot fathom how to do things without enriching the private sector.
Gee, it’s like the former Mayor of Vancouver who owns 10 million dollars worth of multiple properties, including mansions and a penthouse, is serving as the Minister of Housing.
