Ich war diese Woche dort und frage mich, was die Leute dort machen und wie so ein Relikt immer noch existiert.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die Malta Post in Malta zu umgehen?

  1. Overall, Malta Post offers a decent service, at least as good as in my home country in the EU.
Nevertheless, some things could be better.
Today my son wasn’t home when a package was delivered.
The parcel was taken to the post office. There is a post office 100 meters away, but the parcel was sent to a post office 1.5 kilometers away.
(The postal outlet is determined by the postcode)

The only work around is to use DHL, UPS, Fastdrop, etc… at the cost of the extra premium price.

To be fair, regarding Maltapost I’ve only had serious issues with their early morning delivery with small packages and the lies they say, ie: “I was not home” when I was waiting all day and no body showed up even when checking the security cameras, had to leave a review on TrustPilot for them to call me and re schedule delivery… that shouldn’t be needed.

With the premium delivery options, I’ve maybe had one or two issues from hundreds of orders, and even then, was able to very easily fix everything via their customer support phone line, and that’s understandable so nothing against them.

But straight up lying, receiving damaged packages by Maltapost (security camera footage) and just overall not providing a good service isn’t doing any justice for them.

It’s free and I understand that, but honestly, I’d rather have them introduce a premium fee maybe that have their designated drivers and everything and provide you with priority and hassle free service, or straight up another company. Not saying to completely remove their free service, it’s good when it works for small deliveries, but take DHL in Germany, they have two lines, budget/free option and a premium, this would be useful as services like dhl and ups are pretty expensive.

Literally got an email yesterday that a parcel had been delivered but it’s nowhere to be seen. No reply from customer service either.

I know postal services are generally quite crap but holy shit Maltapost takes the cake.
