    1. It would also be illegal and fined in Denmark.
Without permission you can only use some flags besides the Danish Dannebrog. Those belonging to the Nordic nations and Germany (Recognized minority in Denmark).
So Finnish, Faroese, Greenlandish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish and German flags are okay. Everything else ask first.

    2. To be clear: The show „Extra 3“ is known for their political satire, and I have no doubt that the idea was to poke fun at Trump and the Americans. Because that’s what they do all the time (and rightly so).

But that stunt may not have been well thought-through. Oh well, if it was just a fine. At least the crew wasn’t fed to the polar bears…

So „it’s just a prank bro“?

Thinking of several different flags that could be raised in Berlin „satirically“

    4. No idea why they thought that‘ld be funny at all to anyone in Greenland…

    5. Punching down „comedy“ – travelling to the country being horrified about potential invasion, and planting the flag of an aggressor.

Punching up „comedy“ – travelling to the aggressor country, pulling stunts poking fun at their insane rhetoric and actions.

If you’re a professional comedian, be the one punching up, not down. But this guy probably doesn’t have the balls to do the former.

As a German, I can only say: absolutely justified.

I’ve rarely seen anything more stupid, more inappropriate and more disrespectful (current US administration excluded)

I saw right wingers posting about this like it was a win for them so whatever the fine was should be doubled

Extra3 is a satire show older than most people here and they’ve always pushed boundaries because satire should bite, not be just entertain. They did a song about Erdogan in 2016 after he shut down a TV station, that started an international affair with Turkey about freedom of media.

They are legends and I’m sure their heart was in the right place.
