Why are we obsessed with keeping everything? Just tear it down and do something more productive with the land
Such a shame, I really wanted to ride this last year when I went but it was closed unfortunately.
Thats three unique UK coasters now that have closed in the last 6 or so years now.
They should have closed the Independent website instead, just how unusable can they make it?
What rollercoaster is it? It should be required to post the article in the comments when it’s locked behind a paywall/forcing you to give up your data
A chunk of it burned down a few years ago and was rebuilt so it’s not like it’s completely original.
The site wants less attractions like this and (now it’s been purchased by LiveNation) probably wants to focus more on its series of outdoor concerts to go with the ones it holds inside all year round.
The whole place was cool as a kid growing up 25 years ago when it had loads of rides, the cinema was still there etc. but it’s time to accept it needs to change with the times.
