So, ZERO introspection, ZERO accountability, ZERO ability to pivot. If PP wins, Carney is just going to double-triple dare PP to trip over a non-confidence vote. The Liberals outplayed the NDP during their last term. But golly gosh is Carney going to railroad the Conservatives.

Fwiw the Bloq Québécois was formed from a splinter from the Conservatives and the Reform Party originally started under a Conservative government

The rise of separatism in Quebec this time isn’t even wanted. It’s the failure of the CAQ and provincial Liberals for failing so badly voters are willing to go to the PQ – but by and large don’t want the referendum.

Well, [I was only half right.](https://old.reddit.com/r/CanadaPolitics/comments/1qrki0g/canadian_sovereignty_unity_could_be_key_themes/o2p0cqc/)

    >“Because we want [our kids] to know that when you care about something, you work for it; when you believe in something, you fight for it. And most of all, when you start something, you never give up,“ he said.

Unless that’s your deeply-held conviction that nobody should ever be allowed to spend their whole life in professional politics; so much so that 19-year-old you literally wanted it to be illegal for any MP to serve more than two terms. You can totally bail on that.

Can’t wait to see which new parachute riding he’ll pick for his ninth term!

    Are people surprised?
The whole point of a populist politician is to blame everyone around for all of the problems of the world and to simplistically offer ridiculous solutions (when solutions are provided at all).

Blaming the Liberals fits the pattern…and PP cultists will swallow it all.

Poor guy, his flight or fight response is to perpetually cry like a baby.  He’s so stuck he can’t get out of his own mind.

PP is at 35% of support in the general population and this speech will not help. Conservatives may love him but it doesn’t change the fact that 65% of Canadians have a negative opinion of him.
