Eine Frau in den Vierzigern sagte: "Der Islam duldet offenbar Vergewaltigungen, sie sind also gefährlich." Dies ist eine völlig falsche Aussage, aber die Frau glaubt, dass sie wahr ist, da sie die Informationen von einer Freundin in den sozialen Medien LINE erhalten hat.
Andere Leute machten unbegründete Behauptungen wie: "Ausländer kaufen das gesamte Land in der Umgebung auf." Andere äußerten Bedenken wie z "Ich mache mir Sorgen wegen Ärger und Staus" Und "Es sieht so aus, als würde sich die öffentliche Sicherheit verschlechtern."
Die Stadt Fujisawa hat seit Oktober letzten Jahres mehr als 2.500 Beschwerden über den Bau der Moschee erhalten.

I)t maybe these people who need education about the current world more rather than foreigners needing education on Japanese language and customs.
If the people there oppose a mosque being built then a mosque should not be built.

Japan should have some control over religious organizations and cults. Those who promote hatred like MAGA Christians and Islamists should be barred from getting a foothold.
Abrahamic religions are not really compatible with East Asian values. So fundamentalist groups shouldn’t be allowed to thrive in Japan.

This is exactly what those other posts complaining about Muslims praying in that corner of the arcade were leading to.
They don’t have a prayer room so they pray in a corner out the way -> how dare they take their shoes off how dare they take up space look at them they are taking over!
They get a dedicated mosque for praying: -> how dare they buy land , how dare they have a mosque they are taking over culturally.
Etc etc etc there is NO appeasing or conversation to be had because it’s never about anything sensible.
Can we not get some fucking mods on this for fuck sake?
I live near a mosque in Tokyo. It’s just part of the community now and no one cares. They proactively participate in volunteer activities and respect local ordinances (like not playing adhan over loudspeakers).
This new mosque will also become part of the scenery as long as there’s no clashing of values
