That map shows Netherlands underwater. That seems unlikely, they’ll just build bigger dams.

I wonder if this would refill the Aral Sea.
And also. It shows why project Atlantropa could get a new breath of life. Not for making new ground. But to keep saving ground we have.

So as a swede we would loose Stockholm and Denmark and Skåne? And the problem would be? If anything the Baltic Sea would get healthier with more new water coming in

Meteorologist here:
Keep in mind that between 30 and 60% of the current sea level change in the past 100 years has been caused not by melting glaciers but by thermal expansion of the ocean. When heated, water, like nearly all substances increases in volume, and so global warming is causing much of the sea level rise and will continue to do so.
Heating of the ocean is also a lagging indicator of global warming, meaning that if the process were halted or reversed today, it’s very likely that the thermal expansion would continue for a few years. Since that’s unlikely to happen, people should continue to be prepared, first for increased inland inundation during storms and king tides, which has already been documented, followed by delayed expanded footprints of the oceans.

Fine for me, won’t be affected.
Jokes aside, although I won’t be affected directly, everybody will be affected somehow because a lot of people would have to move to a safer areas.
