Ich würde mich wie ein Idiot fühlen, der ein Ei kauft, selbst wenn ich diesen Scheiß wollte, der heutzutage als Schokolade voller Palmöl ausgegeben wird.
Ostern ist erst in 66 Tagen, glaube ich, und der Valentinstag ist in weniger als 20 Tagen, aber ich sehe nichts dafür, keine einzige Schachtel Schokolade für meine Mutter oder Freundin, nichts. Glaubst du, die Freundin würde wütend werden, wenn ich ihr am V-Tag ein Ei geben würde?

Pretty sure they were on the shelves at 7 am on the 26th of December.

Would this not be counter-productive? I mean, chocolate is not going to last 66 days and still be in good condition!
in the US, we have Valentine’s Day, st. Patrick’s day, and Easter stuff filling the stores for a month now.
Already in the US… although the shelves are pretty much full of Valentine’s Day merch.
We had a break from the astroturfing anti-Cadbury “palm oil muck” posts in the week or so after Christmas.
They’re back now for Easter. Sigh.
Those are for 2027.
They will keep doing it as long as people keep buying it.. Sad

It’s not earlier than usual. Easter is at the start of April this year. That’s capitalism for you, nothing new. Same as every year, slowly after Christmas…
they were in aldi on the 8th of january, and people are buying them. if the people didnt buy, the shops would get them in..!!

The sad thing is that in order for the shop to be selling them, the eggs were made as far back as August!
I couldn’t get into the shop earlier because a woman had parked herself and her trolley beside the Easter Egg display and was stocking up like they were toilet rolls during Covid. By the time she was done she had 36 Eggs away with her – three full trays.

Eggs where in my local dealz rge first few days of January I didnt day anything to the staff but one that I get on with said its a load of shite putting these out early they had no choice in it

Do people get amnesia every year or something. Stuff comes out crazy early and people are shocked every year. Christmas chocolate will go into the shops in September and people will be flabbergasted as if it hasn’t happend at the same time every year.
