    Never mind

„The members on the board will consist of whichever heads of state the chairman, Donald Trump, chooses to invite. Their terms of membership will last three years, unless they pay the board $1 billion, which would buy them lifetime tenure. (Trump is designated as chairman for as long as he likes, certainly beyond the remaining three years of his presidency, gratis.)

„The board will decide policies and declare resolutions by majority vote, but the chairman (read: Trump) gets veto power; he can also initiate measures unilaterally, eject members, and choose his own successor.“

    Such corruption.

I heard the previous first lady of South Korea is getting 20 months prison for accepting a nice purse.

“Peace plan” with a billion-dollar price tag and no payer listed, must be a limited-time offer.

The best thing Trump has ever done for Canada is rescind Prime Minister Carney’s invitation to join. That would have been such a tricky thing for Canada to deal with – you’d have to decline but somehow not look like you are not willing to work with Trump or don’t care about peace. So glad we don’t have to deal with that nonsense.

The fine print is pretty breathtaking, too. Trump is the chairman of the board- not the President, *Trump*. Furthermore, the chairman can dismiss any member, at any time, for any reason. Additionally, the chairman can never be replaced or removed. Basically, give Trump a billion dollars and you get to be his friend until he gets tired of you.

It’s the most shameless grift yet, but the media really isn’t looking into it. Understandable, given everything else that’s going on, but a shame nonetheless.

This is just a fool’s club to see who part’s with their money to actually accomplish nothing.

Now that he owns the brand for America and peace, he is selling them off. He is selling off the military to take oil. He is selling off land in Idaho for a foreign military base. He is selling off everything of value that 250 years and millions of Americans have worked for for temporary cash for himself.

Is the cost of allowing him to continue doing this more than the cost of ending it? We could make it cheaper by ending this today, or almost as cheap if we ended it tomorrow, but instead we are going to make this play out as expensively as possible by allowing him to do this for the rest of his life.

  9. The other question is, among leaders who did become members (e.g. Mongolia, Uzbekistan, El Salvador), who actually paid?

My favorite part is the last line for where funding comes from, “or other sources.” Ohhh so this is just a global bribery/extortion ring, got it.

Anyone who didn’t see this man was a charlatan by the early 2000’s needs to have their head examined.

They called Africans dictators…welcome to the club?! How does it feel to know that you’re not better than anyone else. 😃😄

I’d be willing to bet that any country that “commits” will never actually pay the fee

    Oh! I know I know!

It’s going into a massive fund to help provide aid and expertise for rebuilding Gaza and other war torn nations while at the same time providing mediation between nations in conflict to resolve any outstanding areas of disagreement.  Everything will be done in the open and finally peace will reign upon earth and enlightenment will be reached.  Aliens will finally land and tell us what an inspiration we are, not just to the galaxy but the cosmos.

Or Trump’s going to put his name on a bunch of stuff and nothing will be fixed.  I think the person who threatens his allies is the last person I would trust with the task of world peace.

never forget 75 million voted for an unhinged old man off his rocker

Is the answer sick and hungry children? Or, refugees from war torn and collapsed countries? I bet it’s those, right?

  17. Best_Biscuits on

Has anyone actually paid the fee yet? The stupid board of dumb isn’t going anywhere nor will it do anything. They literally have no legal authority to do anything anywhere.

  18. It prob has a really cool treehouse and secret handshake. A handwritten sign in crayon on the door “NO GIRLS ALLOWED!”

  19. Isn’t this that “world government” the evangelicals were always worried about?

Every once in a while, I receive an email informing me that I’ve been nominated to the prestigious and exclusive *Vandelay Circle of Leadership*, all I have to do is submit the $49 entry fee and I can count myself among the greatest and most accomplished leaders of this country.

    *Same*.

  21. This grift would trigger impeachment with any other president in history, but for this dude, it’s just a Wednesday.

  22. This gives Russia an excuse to liquidate their frozen assets and Trump gets a share of it thru the Board of Peace

  23. More corruption. Another example of Trump being a con man. Can Congress finally do their job and remove him from office? He needs to be thrown in prison.

  24. AceofKnaves44 on

I almost have to respect how blatantly corrupt he is. It’s fucking remarkable that you could be THIS openly corrupt and have NOBODY do anything about it.

  25. yourboydmcfarland on

    Extortion.

That’s his only plan at this point. It’s his whole political and monetary game folks.

  26. demoralizingRooster on

This is the same guy going off the rails about Rep. Omar gaining a net worth of like 30 million because she got married to a rich guy? Furthermore, this thing I keep hearing about an emoluments clause, what exactly is that?

  27. Let me get this straight…

Trump gave Argentina / Milei $40B of our tax dollars and now $1B is illegally going into Trump’s pocket to illegally purchase access rights to land they do not own.

  28. threewolfmtn on

Probably been mentioned, but the name has to be a joke about Bored of Peace

  29. Bishopjones2112 on

Yeah board of peace. USA, Belarus, Israel and Russia ? Wow solid group to bring peace to the world. More like the four horseman.

  30. whatisinternet69 on

Wasnt Argentina completely cash strapped 3 months ago when we gave them 40 billion?

  31. 50% of the time he’s playing golf, visiting his clubs, hours every day watching media and truthing, some amount of time organizing revenge and now spending time doing Board of Peace. When he is on the Nation’s Business, he naps. He has zero domestic policy projects other than running his thug army. When’s he gonna work on inflation, groceries, housing, education.

Like those last things were ever a priority.
