It’s been totally wild here in the Okanagan. The coldest weather at my house so far was just a shade under -10C. There is no snow whatsoever in the valley. It’s been an incredibly mild winter. I hope we get some snowfall and/or rain leading up to the summer.

We could have all WFH to help the planet and work in safely air conditioned homes but instead have to drive everywhere. Plus more fossil fuels to keep old crappy buildings somewhat cool in the summer and somewhat warm in the winter.

I can’t stand the rising humidity and wild fire smoke every summer. It’s insane our government doesn’t do more.

  4. I live on the 12th floor of my apartment building and we had multiple power outages, some of them in the evening/night when it was impossible to get a breeze through my apartment.

I may have to warn my parents that some nights me and the cat might just show up to be able to sleep.

I’m really enjoying the extreme cold here in Ontario. Looking forward to a cooler wetter summer.

Well, someone better tell the weather people this because our January has been one of the coldest, and February doesn’t look any better.

„We need to protect the world from emissions.“

Then you need to stop building 10000000000 data centers that are putting out more emissions then 25% of the worlds countries combined. Literally so many data centers and the governments in US for example are telling tech companies to bring their own fossil fuel generators to power them.

AI Data centers is doing more damage to the environment then the Alberta oilsands could ever imagine.

And it doubles every 6 months.

AI Data Centers are literally cooking the planet and is expected to use a trillion liters of fresh water a month in less then 3 years.

  9. They said that last summer and it was fairly mild. No chance they know this far out
