      Okay but the reason why they can’t do it is the World Cup expanded teams from 32 -48. That’s too many teams for 1 country. Canada doesn’t have the infrastructure. Mexico could do 32 but 48 this late with the world
      Cup starting this summer. It’s not gonna happen.

      Mexico has worse public safety, Qatar held it, Russia held it. Both had far more strict policies for visitors. It’s the World Cup, North Korea and Iran have competed in it.

      If the US is not removed, then every match should be treated as a mass protest opportunity. Every live broadcast should have protests in the background when they do establishing shots. All the spectators should have to walk through a forest of protest signs.

      The world should know that we are still resisting, and that there will always be opposition to Fascism in the United States.

      FIFA is corrupt to the core. They contrived a peace prize to placate Trump. There’s no way in hell the World Cup will be moved.

      „Maybe“ a better shot with the Olympics in 2028 if we keep this shit up. But Fifa does not give a shit and will keep things going as planned.

      Honestly, I think it will be the most entertaining World Cup ever, like watching an explosion.

      Note: I have no intrest in football at all and usually dont care about anything related to it.

      While unlikely, it is important to note that besides protecting innocent tourists from ICE by canceling the World Cup in the United States during the Trump administration, it will also minimize the gentrification of many local communities where the events will be held.

      Trump would literally declare war with rest of the world.

      I would love to have Mexico and Canada split up the matches that were to be played in the US.

      Germany becoming Nazi Germany didn’t stop the Olympics from being held there, and FIFA is more corrupt than even the IOC by orders of magnitude.

      They gave Trump a made-up prize to suck up to him. They don’t give a fuck about human rights or anything else. Only money.

      Not only do I think it highly improbable that the US would be removed as a cohost, I don’t think any team will boycott.

      Some fans might boycott the matches in-person and refuse to watch them, but I don’t think there will be a significant amount of that, either.

      Well. At this point it’s best for everyone to just cancel their tickets, not go, not watch, and not give another fuck. If everyone did that, FIFA would loose so much money.

      Didn’t they host the last world cup in Qatar🤡? Didn’t they give a „peace prize“ to Trump? Why are we pretending FIFA has any moral upper hand?
