This man was such a staple of masculinity and power for so many 90s kids. I had a tough childhood and can confidently say Tommy got me through a lot of hard times. Like Robin Williams, sometimes the darkest demons torment those who never show it and keep the battle in private.
Forever RIP to the person I used to believe was like a big brother to me.

I had the vhs where he taught you karate. I watched that hundreds of times karate chopping around the living room. Man he was the coolest!

Met him as a kid , humble and kind, and such an awesome character for a kid who didn’t experience long form content before. His run from being a villain to , essentially THE ranger was really cool to see.

He was a major part of my childhood, and I was devastated when he died.
I met him at Fan Expo Toronto in 2018. He was by far the nicest and coolest celebrity I’ve ever seen at a convention. He didn’t stay behind his table; he stood in front of it to shake hands, hug, and take selfies with fans. Every 15 mins or so, he would walk up and down the line of people waiting to see him, thank them for coming, and talk about his upcoming projects. He really loved his fans and loved his work. He was a driving force of positivity in so many people’s lives. My heart goes out to his family.

I miss him. Such an inspiration for us older millennials. His death was an utter shock to me. The struggles people go through are not always visible. Reach out to someone if you are struggling mentally. Get on medication if you feel it’s right for you. Find a good therapist that can help you through your mental issues and guide you and help you with coping. Toughness comes in many forms. RIP JDF.

Whoa… I went to the same high school as Jason and his brother. I didn’t realize they both committed suicide 😢

I’m 34 yo when I was a kid I didn’t have much confidence in myself.
When I started watching power rangers, it was stupid but it gave strength for some reason. I was thinking if they can do this, maybe I can.
Moreover, Jason rangers was among my favourites. When I learned about his death, I cried because it was one of my big childhood heroes gone.
Remembering him every time now brings me a lot of emotion. Once a ranger always a ranger.

I go to a handful of cons every year and literally hasn’t felt the same without him. He was a staple of the con circuits and I’d stop by to get a peak at his booth and dude was just on 24/7.
From the first person at the start of the line, until the last person, he treated his fans with a genuine GENUINE care that never felt forced or faked. I don’t think anyone COULD fake that level of joy so much.
His passing really fucked me up for awhile, as someone who deals with mental illness I didn’t know how to cope with someone so openly happy looking on the outside, to still lose to their inner demons like that. But I think it’s what eventually triggered me to get into therapy. I’m better for it.
I know it’s stupid to care so much about a childhood idol, but JDF was the real deal. He had a real world impact on me and tons of others. world is a worse off place without him.
