      What’s the „EU“ ? The Commission? The Council? Italy?

      This is a matter for Italy, nothing to do with the treaties and even calling for action at European level breaks the principle of subsidiarity.

      They have no reason to be here. The job they will be doing could also be done by other form of police, military, security etc that are already present in Italy and/or EU. This 100% does not need to be outsourced to ICE.

      As a European, I disagree with the presence of ICE, but it is up to Italy to decide.

      I dont get it, why would ICE be in an Olympic event taking place in a whole different continent

      They can be here, unarmed, unmasked and with no authority beyond any other civilians.

      Why would they come? I am confused…because this sounds awfully like that entitled american mentality where they think they have juridisction over whole world. It’s just fucking weird.

      They should be deported at arrival and sent to a facility in Albania.

      In the end it is Italy’s call of course. As far as I’m concerned they should be allowed in only if the following conditions are met:

      a) no guns
      b) no masks
      c) clearly visible name tags
      d) functioning bodycam worn at all times
      e) supervised by one or more Italian officer(s) at all times
