The very shooting that lead to the government’s crackdown on law abiding gun owners, with their asinine confiscation scheme.

Yeah ignoring calls from concerned, neighbors, and family that an unlicensed person has a firearm and is threatening violence. Posting an emergency alert on Twitter. Mag dumping 60 rounds at a volunteer firefighter at a fire hall, being used as an evacuation centre. Those are all some pretty big gaps.

Almost like this should have been done years ago and data, experts and evidence should have been collected before the government made any rash decisions and commitments…

Like the fact they knew exactly who he was and knew he had guns illegally?? Like those kinds of gaps?? Or when they decided to shoot up a fire dept when he was nowhere around? Those kinds of gaps? Or how bout blaming all legal firearms owners for the act of 1 guy who wasn’t licensed. Do any of those work?? Do any of those gaps work???????

Reading the chronology of events it’s hard not to think the Rcmp prioritized the safety of its members over the safety of civilians.

Not-so-fun fact: The gun ban and „buyback“ scheme caused by this tragedy would not have prevented this mass shooting from happening, because the shooter would have been ineligible for the „buyback“ as he is unlicensed and obtained his AR-15 illegally.
Not-so-fun fact 2: The two officers that magdumped the firehall (where people were seeking shelter inside) got off scot-free.

The facts are clear as day. The RCMP failed to investigate a clear and credible threat. The blood of every citizen killed is on the hands of the RCMP. Hell it could have been more will ill trained members dumping rounds into a fire station where people took shelter. To add insult to injury the liberals used this as an opportunity to push their own agenda to secure support and votes in Quebec.
