You are standing at the exit of an underpass, and like 100 meters away there is a traffic light, which you can see in the photo. You can cross there as well, if you mind using underpasses.

I got fines 50 manat for crossing street without zebra crossing, because i did not know there are underground crossings, after that I was very careful to find the underground crossings.

I assume there are a lot of crossways underneath because otherwise all the cars should stop for crosswalksrs and that would give even more traffic.

Don’t take pix in the underground walkways. Or the metro. The metro is so beautiful I took a photo and got yelled at 🤣 the station I was at didnt have any no photo signs though so I didnt know
