I’m highly cynical that this will be a good deal for Canada, either economically or socially. If you look at the type of deals that India has signed with the EU or UK, a main point seems to be „labour mobility“, which does not seem like a very good idea unless you’re an employer. Even then, you have to wonder why India seems to be so eager to get rid of it’s excess „talent“.
The China deal was successful because it was a win-win, and I don’t see the same happening here.
