  1. I think a lot of people in Hollywood are probably supporting family members or in-laws.

But mentioning it on a podcast like this? Particularly when John and Olivia have only been together a few years? It feels like something that will eventually be used to justify a break-up.

  2. He has a whole bit about this on his next special. The joke is that he is doing an impression of them but its okay because he loves and respects them and also pays for their entire life. Its a pretty funny bit.

Mulaney is 100 percent gonna spend the next twenty years making passive aggressive jokes about his kids.

Maybe it’s the way the article is written- this statement comes off as he’s some type of saviour of her Vietnamese family. Yikes.

  5. He has an amazing 15 minute bit about exactly this in his new hour, which he was been doing throughout his most recent tour, and it will probably air on his next Netflix special. Saw him last month and it was one of the best bits he’s ever done. I’m sure we will keep hearing a lot about this.

I don’t understand how he makes ANY money. Nothing I’ve ever seen him say or do is the least bit funny

  7. I can’t believe everyone’s commenting about this anecdote like it’s someone other than *John Mulaney*.

  8. I can’t fully explain why, but John Mulaney seems like the biggest douche to me. Just smarmy and generally unlikable and not funny
