      It’s a little underwhelming that everything we accused the Chinese of doing (and probably were at some level) was immediately done by the new American ownership.

      So be done with it. Shut it down. If everyone just deleted it the day after it changed ownership. It would turn into one of the worst investments ever. Make them regret trying to silence us, make their wallets feel it.

      Its Trump’s revenge on TikTok for its role in getting young adults radicalized against him in his first term. A massive amount of 20 year olds used it to coordinate getting tickets for his rallies and not showing up. Several events where there so many empty seats. Behind the scenes, Trump was seething because he never had any sway with young folks, and doesn’t know how weaponize the apps viral fame. So forced controlling it through his billionaire buddies is his way of putting the collar on what was a big part of his losing to Biden. And most assuredly they control its use on any ICE coverage. Just like Zuck does with Meta.

      The new algorithm is much more boring and subdued. I find myself using it less and less each day.
