Als frischgebackener Absolvent nach 5 Monaten Jobsuche in Aserbaidschan habe ich endlich einen Job!
Von über 43 Bewerbungen (es könnten mehr sein, ich habe nicht alle verfolgt) haben mich 39 einfach gegeistert. 2 Absagen erfolgten, weil die Stelle bereits besetzt war. Ich hatte zwei Vorstellungsgespräche, eines endete mit einer Absage und das andere verlief positiv.
Das Traurigste daran ist, dass das Jobangebot, das ich angenommen habe, von meinem früheren Arbeitsplatz stammt, den ich aufgrund meines Auslandspraktikums verlassen hatte. Also habe ich den Job irgendwie durch eine Empfehlung/Tanışlıq bekommen. Wenn sie mich vorher nicht gekannt hätten, wäre ich immer noch auf der Suche.
Allerdings verfüge ich über einen guten Notendurchschnitt und ausreichend Erfahrung im relevanten Bereich, auch in der EU…

I live in Europe, and believe it or not it is pretty much similar here 🙂 We are going through difficult times.

What’s your university degree and which positions were you applying?
I think it is same everywhere.
Few years ago I got my current job bc my previous coworker was working here and recommended me.
Also I just got new offer in new company bc HR asked her friend, her friend recommended me.
– This is not exact case of „daydayliq“. They put me through many technical and soft interviews. But companies prefer someone they „know“. So, network as much as you can guys, don’t be shy, force yourself to go out. Socialise and give info about what work you do (in normal amount tho, not too much, don’t bore people with work talk). This guy who is hr’s friend was just someone I met in a trip and socialised with him.
I‘d love to work in Azerbaijan for a year or two. Unfortunately my speaking is on the level of a 5 grader
Mən məzun olandan 1 il sonra rəsmi işə düzələ bildim, hara cv atsam, cavabsız qalırdı. Aradakı müddəti də pulsuz təcrübəçi kimi işlədim .
I don’t want to sound pessimistic but most of the serious companies öz adamını götürür and the rest of them torba tikir.
Working 9-6 is even more difficult than job hunting imo, best of luck!
