Yeah but that’s one country. And the EU is multiple countries

Forget the comparisons at this point. We all know that Europe did much better and that the US is an unreliable and deeply dysfunctional state.
Let’s focus on the future. We can do much more in Ukraine. We need to do much more in Ukraine. We owe it to them. And it’ll be a signal to the world as well as to which western union will be the real superpower of the 21st century.

This isn’t something to be proud of though, the fact that they invested so much aid for a country that isn’t even remotely in their sphere of influence, ukraine is almost a part of europe and still we rely on a country in another continent to help solve our problems for us.

Don’t Europe pay the US for all the aid too? 😛

The US bigger sacrifice is sanctions against Russia has hurt the dollars reserve status. While American is sanctioning countries like India, Europe is making the biggest every trade deals with the Indians.
The US has risked our entire financial system. Europeans won’t even take the Russian cash from their banks and give it to the Ukrainians. It’s „too risky“.

The USA didn’t make a single sacrifice, most of that money went into their own MiC. They just gave Ukraine their old stuff and ordered new stuff from their own MiC.
And obviously that helped Ukraine, but it’s not a sacrifice for the US at all lol.

I say it again: The US gave a security guarantee to Ukraine after they destroyed their nuclear arsenal. They willingly offered to protect them.
US security protections are worthless.

Remember, measuring things for American is difficult. You have to put in terms they can understand, like “football fields” and “gallons” and “semi-truck length”… maybe if this was in “McD happy meals” it would make more sense to the treasury secretary
