    They are only considering it for a planned Audi plant, and even then Volkswagen will only do this if it’s long term financially beneficial.

    Stuff like this benefits some US companies at least short term, but regular Americans won’t be seeing those benefits. Some will be able to acquire job instead from American company, i doubt pay will be any larger, but since US car manufacturers can, they will increase prices.

    Just sucks that it hurts economies of other countries too.

This is all hilarious when you realize VW invested two billion dollars in the sCoUt MoToRs EV 4×4 brand in south fucking Carolina of all places… Ranking in the top 5 states for state-level and judicial corruption. One of their congresspeople just got whacked for CP of all things, and there’s a huge blowup over direct sales and NADA-funded Republicans threatening VW’s state tax breaks.

    Lie with dogs…
