Wenn unser Heimatland, die Republik Türkei, nicht existiert hätte, hätten wir die gleiche Unterdrückung, Verfolgung und die gleichen brutalen Massaker durch die Griechen erlebt. Dass die Griechen nicht so weit gekommen sind, liegt an der großen Unterstützung, die wir von der Republik Türkiye erhalten haben. Sonst hätten sie heute vielleicht die türkischen Zyprioten vernichtet.

The elections haven’t changed anything. Unification remains a pipe dream. It’s high time both people understand this and move on. It’s not going to happen.
